Chiropractic

Chiropractors specialize in helping children and adults achieve their potential through a variety of methods:
Applied Kinesiology:
A healing system that evaluates and treats an individual’s structural, chemical and mental aspects. It employs muscle testing and other standard methods of diagnosis. It can be highly effective at quickly getting to the core of a problem.
Cranio-Sacral Techniques:
The cranial or head bones contain the central nervous system or the main controller! The cranial bones are a beautifully engineered system that moves subtly, like cogs in a wheel. These rhythmic movements are reflected throughout the spine and into the sacrum and pelvis via the membranes that line the central nervous system. The central nervous system is bathed in a fluid (cerebrospinal fluid or CSF) that nourishes and takes away waste and if “jammed up” can cause problems in circulation of the CSF. The position of the cranial bones can impact on the rest of the spine and pelvis.
Structural corrections and ongoing support:
Structural correction, especially correction of the cranio sacral system, can be likened to fixing the hardware of a computer. It does not necessarily mean that the unit then functions perfectly, for there is also the software to consider. Thus structural correction is only one of a team which includes many therapists such as Nutritionists, Behavioural Optometrists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Sound Therapists, Medical Practitioners, Speech therapists etc. To take the computer analogy a little further, it is difficult to correct performance by software when the hardware is malfunctioning. It can be done in some cases, but this binds up a lot of memory space and slows processing. It is often best to fix the hardware as well as, and preferably before the software!
